How we work

Built on our own platform, so you can see every step.

These are the Wellows views our team works in every day. The data below is an example.

  1. 01 · Audit

300 checks, sorted by what hurts most.

We audit the whole domain, rank issues by traffic at risk, and fix them once you approve.

    • Crawling, indexing and rendering, including JavaScript pages
    • Schema, entities and AI readability
    • Core Web Vitals and speed
    • We fix it, or your developers get a ready ticket

  2. 02 · Bot analytics

See which bots reach your site, and which get stuck.

If GPTBot or PerplexityBot can't reach a page, that page can't be cited. We check this every week.

    • Visits by bot: Googlebot, GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and more
    • Share of important pages each bot actually reached
    • Blocks from robots.txt, firewalls and JavaScript rendering, found and fixed

  3. 03 · Search Console watch

Catch slipping queries before they cost you traffic.

We review Search Console on a fixed schedule. Every flag comes with a fix, and most fixes ship the same week.

    • Low CTR: plenty of impressions, few clicks. We rewrite titles, descriptions and intros
    • Losing position: we refresh the page and add links to it
    • Cannibalized: two of your pages compete for one query. We merge or split them

  4. 04 · Internal links

Map every link, find what's missing, and publish the fix.

We crawl every internal link on the site. Pages with no links pointing in, or none pointing out, get flagged. Then we score each link opportunity by topic match, authority and freshness.

    • Anchor text taken from wording already on the page
    • Placement hint shows the exact paragraph
    • You approve the links, and we publish them
  5. 05 · Topical depth

Build out the topics your category expects you to cover.

We map your main topics, the clusters under them and every supporting page, then compare that with what you've already published. Missing pages go straight into the content calendar.

    • Clusters from your queries, competitors and the prompts you track
    • Each page marked covered, missing or planned
    • Pages that are thin or overlap get merged or pruned

  6. 06 · Content gap

See every topic your competitors own and you don't.

We crawl the competitors you name in onboarding, map their coverage against yours, and rank the gaps by traffic and by how often AI answers name them instead of you.

    • Deep, thin or missing, topic by topic, you against each competitor
    • Gaps scored on search demand and on your tracked prompts
    • The list feeds the content calendar, so nothing stops at analysis

  7. 07 · Backlink analysis

Find the sites that link to them, and quote them to AI.

We compare your backlink profile with each competitor, then pull out the domains linking to several of them but not to you. Domains that AI engines already quote go to the top of the outreach list.

    • Referring domains, authority and growth against each competitor
    • Link gap: who links to them, not to you, and on which page
    • Flagged when that domain is already cited in answers about your category

Your first 90 days

What happens, and when.

It starts with a workshop, not a crawl. We can't pick your prompts, competitors or topics until we understand what you sell and why people choose you.

  1. Days 1 to 5

    Onboard

Workshop with your team: what you sell, who buys it, your feature set, your competitors and what makes you different. Everything after this is built on it.

  2. Days 5 to 14

    Diagnose

300-point audit, bot logs, Search Console, link map, content gap and backlink gap. Prompt set agreed, baseline captured.

  3. Weeks 3 to 6

    Fix

Bot access, technical fixes, orphan pages and the first batch of internal links. These move fastest.

  4. Month 2

    Build

Topical map and gap list locked. Content calendar running. Slipping and low-CTR queries fixed every week.

  5. Month 3 onward

    Earn and re-rank

Outreach to the link gap and to sources engines already cite. Quarterly review resets the plan on results.

Pricing

Pick the pace. Every plan covers all twelve jobs.

Plans differ in volume and team size, not in which work you get.

FAQ

Straight answers.

The questions a retainer raises, answered with what we will and will not commit to.

How is this different from hiring an SEO or GEO agency?

An agency reports on tools you never see. We built the instrument, so the work and the measurement live in the same place: your Wellows account. You can open it mid-month and check our claims against the same data we are looking at.

The practical difference is that you stop paying for the reporting layer twice.

Do you work on Google as well as AI engines?

Yes. The same work moves both: pages bots can reach, topical depth, internal links and trusted mentions. We report Google clicks and positions next to AI citations.

Do you fix things, or only recommend them?

We fix them. You approve the change, we ship it. If your stack means only your developers can deploy, they get a ticket with the exact change, the file and the reason.

What do you need access to?

Search Console, analytics, your CMS or a staging branch, and bot data from server or CDN logs. If logs aren't available we read bot visits from our own tracking script instead.

Can you guarantee rankings or citations?

No. AI answers change run to run, and Google changes weekly. We commit to the work volume in your plan and show you every result, good or bad.

What counts as a "new page" or an "optimization"?

A new page is a published URL of 1,200+ words or a full landing page. An optimization is a substantive rewrite of an existing URL against a specific query or prompt. Pruning, redirects and internal links don't count against either.

How do you choose which competitors to track?

You name them in the onboarding workshop. We then check who actually shows up for your queries and in AI answers, and bring back any name you missed before the set is locked.

How do you pick which prompts to track?

From your sales calls, Search Console data and category research. You approve the set before tracking starts, and we revise it each quarter.

Where do backlinks and mentions come from?

From pages engines already cite for your prompts: roundups, comparison posts, communities and publishers. We don't buy links from networks.

We already have an SEO agency. Does this overlap?

It can sit alongside. We map who owns what during the diagnostic so nobody duplicates work.

How fast will we see results?

Bot and technical fixes often show within weeks. Content, links and topical depth usually take a quarter to compound.

Can we cancel?

Yes, with 30 days notice on month to month. Everything we create, and your data, stays yours.
