Free tool · AI competitor gap analysis
See what AI says about you, next to what it says about them.
Enter your domain and up to three competitors. We put the same question about each brand to one AI engine, many times over inside one window, and score every answer against one shared claim set. Free, no account, and the verdict is on this page — a work email opens the rest of the report.

Why we ask more than once
Ask once and you get an anecdote. Keep asking and you get a measurement.
An engine answers the same question differently every time. One answer tells you what it said once. A set of answers tells you what it believes.
How it works
Four steps. You stay on this page.
- 1
You name the brands
Your domain and up to three rivals. One engine, one region. Every brand is asked the same question in the same window, or the comparison is void.
- 2
We ask, again and again
A fresh session every time, with no memory of the last one. Every answer and every citation is saved with its timestamp. Nothing is topped up later.
- 3
Every answer is scored against one claim set
The claim list is pooled from what all the brands' answers assert, so a rival's vocabulary shows up even if you never use it. Each score keeps the sentence it came from.
- 4
Gaps ranked by size
Where a rival gets a claim across and you don't, you see the claim, who leads it, by how far, and the sentence that proves it. Then you decide what to fix.
Built differently
Why it doesn’t look like the other free checkers.
Most free tools ask once, across as many engines as they can list, and hand you a score. That is a screenshot of a coin flip.
| Typical free checker | This tool | |
|---|---|---|
| Runs per brand | One | Repeated, in one window |
| Competitors | Run them yourself, one at a time | Up to three, same engine, same window |
| Engines | Four to eight at once, one run each | One per run, measured in depth |
| Output | A score out of 100 | Claims with a share of answers, not a score |
| Evidence | A written interpretation | The exact sentences, per brand |
| What it costs you | A work email before you see anything, then the report arrives later | No account, no money. The verdict first; a work email opens the rest, here. |
Two ways people use it
Walk into the pitch with their gap list. Or fix yours before the next buyer asks.
Agencies
Run it on the prospect and their three closest rivals. The claims they never get across become the scope of work, with the rival’s own sentence as the proof. Send the link, or paste the table into the deck.

Find the claim a rival owns that you should. Ship the fix, then run it again: same question, same engine, a new window. The share moves or it doesn’t. Wellows tracks the category prompts daily once you want the trend.

What this measures. What it can’t.
Every report carries its own method box. This is what goes in it.
- Engine
One engine per run
A fresh session for every answer: no memory, no custom instructions. The report names the engine it answered with on the day.
- The question
One fixed branded question
The same wording about every brand, every run. We keep the wording private so nobody can optimise for the test instead of for buyers. It measures what the engine knows and repeats about you, not whether it recommends you for a category.
- Runs and window
Repeated, one window
Every brand is asked repeatedly inside the same window or the comparison is void. An answer from outside the window is rejected, never filtered out afterwards.
- Claims
Pooled, then scored
The claim list comes from what every brand's answers assert, deduplicated into one shared list. Each answer is scored against it, and every score keeps the sentence it came from.
- What it can’t tell you
A snapshot, not a trend
Answers vary run to run; that is why the question is asked repeatedly. An answer about the wrong company scores zero on every claim and is counted separately.
- Your data
A private link, nothing emailed
A run lives at a link only you have. Your competitors are not notified, and nothing is sent to anyone.
Questions
Things people ask before they run it
The method is the product here, so none of it is hidden.
Why ask more than once?
Engines answer differently every time. One answer is an anecdote; a set of answers gives you a share. A claim in nine answers out of ten is something the engine believes about you. A claim in one out of ten is noise, and you should not build a content plan on noise.
Why only one engine per run?
Depth beats breadth here. Repeated runs on one engine are a measurement; one run on five engines is five anecdotes. Each engine tells a different story about a brand, so run it again on the next engine and read the two reports side by side rather than blended.
What exactly do you ask the engine?
One fixed question about the brand itself, worded the same way for every brand and every run. We do not publish the wording, so nobody can write for the test instead of for buyers.
It measures what the engine knows and repeats about you, not your share of a category answer. Category prompts, share of voice and daily movement live inside Wellows.
Where does the claim list come from?
From the answers themselves. We pool what every brand's answers assert, deduplicate that into one shared list, and score each answer against it. That is how a rival's vocabulary shows up in your report even if you never use those words.
Do my competitors see this?
No. A run lives at a link that only you have, and the brands you compare yourself against are never contacted. The address you unlock with is not shared or sold, and we do not send the report on to anyone.
Does it crawl my site?
It reads a handful of your own pages, and only to check the gaps it found. If the engine never mentions something a rival gets across, the report asks your site whether you actually offer it.
That is what keeps the fix list honest: a claim your site documents becomes a visibility problem you can fix, and a claim it never makes is flagged as a question for you rather than written up as a recommendation.
What does it cost?
No money and no account. The verdict, the headline figures and the first finding open straight away, and a work email unlocks the rest of the report on the same page.
We ask after you have seen a real finding rather than before, so you can judge whether the rest is worth an address. One email covers every run you do from that browser.
Why do you want a work email?
A run costs us real money to produce, and the email is what pays for it. It also tells us which companies this is useful to, which is how the free tool earns its place.
Work addresses only, so no gmail, outlook or yahoo. There is no password, no confirmation step and nothing to install, and the report opens in place the moment you enter it.
