Free tool · Brand narrative

A buyer asks ChatGPT about a brand and gets a story: what the brand is, what it is like, who beats it, and whether to buy. The free AI Brand Visibility report asks an AI engine six buyer questions about any brand, six times each, and writes that story out, with the objections, the rivals and the fixes. Show a client the paragraph buyers read before they ever reach the site.

How to run the report, step by step

Prefer to watch? This short video walks through the whole process, from entering a domain to opening your finished report. You need a domain, an email address and a few minutes.

Step 1 of 4

Enter the website, your email, the engine and the country

Type the brand’s domain (you can add up to five, separated by commas, and each gets its own report). Add your email, because the report link is sent there. Then pick one engine (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Mode or Google AI Overviews) and the country the engine should be asked from. The tool reads the homepage, finds the brand name and shows you the six questions before anything runs. There is no account and no card.

B2 Step 1 276x300

Step 2 of 4

Add a name to the report (optional)

If you are running this for a client, click “Running this for a client? Put your name on it” and add your name or company name. It appears on the report as “Prepared by”.

B2 Step 2 263x300

Step 3 of 4

Run it and let it work

Click Run my free report. The engine answers each of the six questions six times, on one engine in one country inside one short window. Each answer is read and coded, the counts are calculated in code, and a validator rejects any figure that is not in the computed numbers. You can close the tab, because the report keeps running and the link is emailed to you. The page says to expect about four minutes and calls that an estimate, not a countdown.

B2 Step 3 300x160

Step 4 of 4

Open the report

When it is ready the report opens at its own link. The top of the page gives you the headline finding and three numbers, with buttons to export the data, copy the link or download the PDF. Reports are not indexed or listed, but anyone with the link can view the full report, so share it only with people you want to see it.

B2 Step 4 300x207

Good to know: each report covers one engine, so run a second report to compare engines. The tool allows three reports a day per network.

How to read the results

Every figure in the report is counted from the answers and from the brand’s own site. The example below is a real report on apple.com, run on ChatGPT in the United States on 2 November 2026. It is a snapshot of one engine on one day.

01 · The story it tells

The story it tells

The dominant account of the brand and how many answers tell it. Read this first, because it is the sentence buyers are reading.

In the Apple example: the engine treats Apple as a premium ecosystem brand: beautifully designed, tightly integrated and expensive. That frame appears in 25 of 36 answers. When asked whether to buy, 0 of 13 verdict answers recommend Apple outright and 6 of 13 steer the reader elsewhere.
B2 Step 5 300x222

05 · The qualities it assigns

The qualities it assigns

Every quality the engine assigns, counted for and against, and whether the brand’s own site claims it in those words.

In the Apple example: well designed appears in 22 of 36 answers, easy to use in 18, and expensive in 23. None of the 12 qualities shown is claimed on the site in the words the engine uses.
B2 Step 6 300x222

08 · Who it offers instead

Who it offers instead

The rivals the engine names next to the brand, how often, and whether it calls them equal, cheaper or stronger.

In the Apple example: Samsung is named in 12 of 36 answers and called the stronger choice in 4. Google is named in 10 of 36.
B2 Step 7 300x222

09 · What it holds against you

What it holds against you

The objections the engine raises, counted, with the sources they trace to. An objection with no source named is carried by the engine itself, so there is no single page to correct.

In the Apple example: pricing is raised in 20 of 36 answers, stated as fact, with no source named.
B2 Step 8 300x222

10 · Your site against the answers

Your site against the answers

Which claims the brand publishes actually show up in answers, and which never do.

In the Apple example: 8 of the site’s claims reach readers and 2 never appear in any answer.
B2 Step 9 300x222

13 · The moves

The moves

A ranked list of actions, each tied to the answers it targets and a check for whether it worked.

In the Apple example: the first move is one page: publish a page that answers the pricing objection directly. Next come claiming the qualities the engine already gives the brand, in those words with proof beside each, and publishing an Apple vs Samsung comparison, because the engine is already making that comparison without Apple.
B2 Step 10 300x222

What to do next

1Start the client conversation with the objection

Lead with the line the engine reaches for most and how often it reaches for it. In the example that is price, in 20 of 36 answers. A buyer’s first impression is already formed, and the client can see it in the engine’s own words.

2Hand the client the cheapest move first

The moves are ranked by cost. Start with the one-page fix at the top, then work down the list. Each move says which answers it targets and how to check that it worked.

3Run a second engine to compare

Each report covers one engine, so run the same brand on another to see whether the story holds. A story that differs between engines is a useful finding in its own right.

Where the full Wellows platform goes further

The report is one engine on one day, and answers on ChatGPT shift week to week. The Wellows platform tracks how the major AI engines describe a brand, shows the week the story changes, and shows which change moved it. Run the report to open the conversation, then use Wellows to keep watching.
